Shakespeare Workshops with actor/director David Clisby
While having great fun, our ‘hands on’ workshops let students experience how modern actors and directors approach putting on a play by Shakespeare. They discover the great depth of Shakespeare’s dramatic structure. They learn about his comedic devices, about how he uses contrast and pacing to build dramatic tension, and the other clever ways he manipulates audience attention to maximise their enjoyment.
Our goal is to inspire students of Shakespeare to gain insights into why this wonderful storyteller and entertainer is arguably the greatest dramatist of all time.
